The subconscious is a part of the human psyche in which we do not have a constant, conscious and controlled access. The subconscious mind influences our physical health and emotional state. Some subconscious beliefs, patterns and habits are with us from our birth, while others develop as we grow up. It is best for us when the subconscious mind acts for our benefit - it promotes health, and motivates us to achieve goals.
However, sometimes it has a negative effect on us. That is why it is so important to work with the subconscious mind when we want to improve our health and well-being. The habits encoded in the subconscious mind can be compared to driving a car. A skilled driver does not think of which pedal to press, sometimes he does not even remember the road he traveled on, but his skills, which have become a habit, work as a kind of automation, an auto-pilot that has prevented him from breaking the rules.
In this case, it’s all about good habits. However, in our subconscious mind there are many negative beliefs and habits which are very strong, but on the contrary, do not have a positive effect on us. An example of such a destructive pattern is perceiving yourself as a person of little value. This makes it difficult not only to accept a compliment, appreciate your own work, express your own opinion firmly, but also to notice your own needs, let alone take care of them.
Consciousness is limited compared to the subconscious. Nevertheless, it is its task to teach the subconscious what is beneficial for us and how to channel its enormous power. It is the consciousness that should develop the right, beneficial goal for us and to convey information about it to the subconscious. This is what tools are used in working with the mind, such as meditation, affirmations and visualizations that are used for this.
